Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side. 내 영혼아 너 잠잠하여라-

Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain. 주 하나님 네 곁에 계시니

Leave to thy God to order and provide; 근심 고통 주님께 맡겨라

In every change, He faithful will remain. 모든 순간 주 도와 주리니

Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend 내 영혼아 네 주님 믿으라

Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end. 가시밭길 기쁨의 땅 되리

 

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake 내 영혼아 너 잠잠하여라-

To guide the future, as He has the past. 여기까지 주 인도하셨다

Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; 그 어떤 길 보이지 않아도

All now mysterious shall be bright at last. 주의 손길 빛으로 이끄니

Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know 내 영혼아 주 음성 들으라

His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below. 거친 풍랑 주 다스리신다

 

Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart, 내 영혼아 너 잠잠하여라-

And all is darkened in the vale of tears, 눈물 골짝 어두움 깊어도

Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, 너의 눈물 너의 그 두려움

Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears. 주의 품에 다 안아 주리니

Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay 내 영혼아 주 사랑 믿으라

From His own fullness all He takes away. 취한 네 것 풍성히 갚으리

 

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on 내 영혼아 너 잠잠하여라-

When we shall be forever with the Lord. 주 서둘러 우리께 오리니

When disappointment, grief and fear are gone, 걱정 근심 두렴 사라지고

Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored. 슬픔 대신 기쁨 영원하리

Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past 내 영혼아 주 소망하여라

All safe and blessed we shall meet at last. 참 피난 처 복된 안식 오리

 

Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise 내 영혼아 너 잠잠하여라-

On earth, believing, to Thy Lord on high; 높이 계신 네 주 의지하라

Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways, 주의 말씀 그 길로 행할 때

So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye. 더 즐거움 주님께 없도다

Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine 내 영혼아 주님만 믿으라

Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine. 밝은 햇빛 늘 비쳐 주리라
